Rachel’s areas of interest include Relationship & Family Issues, Work Related Stress, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), gender issues and working with the LGBTQIA+ community.

She has also participated in Certification Consultation Training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and uses Gottman Method Couples Therapy in her therapy work.

She works with adults, children, and adolescents.

Rachel teaches practical skills that can be used on a day-to-day basis on how to relate securely in relationships and at work, breaking the cycle of harmful patterns that present with the areas mentioned above.  She understands that theory can only be useful if translated into practical, realistic actions.

Rachel is dedicated to understanding patient’s individualised problems with complexity and thorough research. She is skilled with complex presentations, especially patients that have a cross-section of co-occurring diagnoses.

Interventions that Rachel offers include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy, Dignity Therapy and Reminiscence Therapy.  Rachel utilizes Gottman Method Couples Therapy in her therapy work

 

Fees

The cost of a 50-minute consultation with Rachel is $210.00, which is payable at the end of the session by cash, EFTPOS, or credit card. If referred by a G.P or psychiatrist along with a Mental Health Care Plan, clients receive a rebate of $93.35 per session through Medicare. This will be processed at the end of each session. Up to 10 Medicare-rebated sessions can be claimed per calendar year.
